Wilson receives residency permit
Paulette Wilson, the 61-year-old woman who has lived in Britain since she was 10, and who made headlines recently when she was threatened with deportation has been told she can remain in the UK. Wilson, who has not visited her native Jamaica since emigrating to Britain as a child, received a biometric residency permit which confirms her right to stay earlier this week.
Wilson had been detained in Yarl’s Wood detention centre before winning her reprieve.
